Lifeguard Review (Re-Certification Course)

The Dennis Malone Aquatics Center will be two lifeguard review classes this Spring for all expiring lifeguards. The course will be 12 hours in length and will include both on land and in water activities. The class will include both written exams and in water skills testing. It is strongly recommended that all students review their lifeguard text prior to attending. Successful completion of the review course will result in re-certification of lifeguarding/firstaid/CPR/AED for 2 years. What to bring?
1.) All students are required to bring a copy of their current or expired lifeguard certification
2.) Bathing suit, towel, change of clothes
3.) Water bottle
4.) Textbooks (optional but strongly encouraged)




Important: If your lifeguard certification is more than 6 months expired you are ineligible for the review class and must attend the full lifeguard training course. View the website for upcoming courses. Contact Jaimie Castro, Aquatics Director at jaimiecastro@ci.bristol.ct.us for any questions.
